Regular Meeting March 6, 2012
Crow
Wing Town Hall
6:00 p.m.
Board Members Present: Chairman
Mark Platta, Supervisors Greg Smith and Dave Schultz, Clerk Virginia Rogers and Treasurer Susan Goodew.
Mark called the meeting to order and the pledge to the
flag was recited.
No gopher bounties were claimed.
There was no new information on the Engholm violation and
no response has been received from either Isla or Curt Engholm to the letter from the township attorney. Greg made a motion to proceed with a civil suit requesting the court’s permission to clean up and
assess the costs back to the property. The motion was seconded by Mark and passed
unanimously.
The Big Wood Timber violation was also considered. A check
was received to cover the township’s prior expenses in resolving the violation, but no permit has been obtained for
the signs, which are still in place. Therefore the violation has not been resolved. The supervisors determined that any further
expenses will be billed to Big Wood until the property is no longer in violation.
Susie gave the treasurer’s report and claims were
approved.
Dave gave the road report. The road tour will be held on
March 31st at 8:00 beginning at the town hall.
The minutes of the February 28th meeting were reviewed.
Dave made a motion to accept the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Greg and passed unanimously.
Claims were
paid and correspondence was reviewed. The meeting adjourned by general consent at 7:30 p.m.
