Meeting January 24, 2011

Board Members Present: Chairman Mark Platta, Supervisors
Greg Smith and Dave Schultz, Clerk Virginia Rogers, Treasurer Susan Goodew and those on the attached public roster.
Mark called the meeting to order and the pledge to the
flag was recited.
No gopher feet were presented for bounty.
PLANNING
& ZONING
Rob Anthony was present to discuss the violation on the
Anthony property. He has begun to clean up the property and has moved the boats that were near the driveway. The Anthony’s
have decided to continue as a business, bringing it into compliance with the land use ordinance. The supervisors explained
that the neighbor calling in with the most complaints has been asked to call town board members instead of the township planner
in order to keep costs down, as those costs are now being billed to the Anthonys.
It was also noted that we can continue working with them as long as noticeable progress continues, which should also limit
or eliminate the complaints. Rob will attend the February 28th meeting to discuss the next steps.
Dave shared prices on a dump trailer for recycling. A 14
foot non-covered trailer is $8299. A lighter one would be about $1000 less. It was decided that a decision will not be made
until we see how great the recycling overflow is in the coming months.
The 2012 budget was finalized.
The minutes of the January 10th meeting were
reviewed. Dave made a motion to approve the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Greg and carried by unanimous vote.
Payroll was approved and paid and correspondence was reviewed.
The meeting
was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. by general consent.
