September 28, 2010 Regular Meeting
The Crow Wing Township
Board of Supervisors held its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Crow Wing Town Hall. Present were Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisors Mark Platta and Dave Schultz, Clerk
Virginia Rogers and Randy Powers.
Greg called the
meeting to order.
No gopher feet were
presented bounty.
PLANNING & ZONING
No planning and
zoning report was provided this month as there were no new items. A request for a partial refund of a land use permit had
been received. The supervisors decided that the Planning Commission should address the topic and suggest a policy for this
type of request in the future.
ROADS
A policy for using
personal equipment for township work was considered. It was decided that this should be on the agenda for the Reorganizational
Meeting. Mark made a motion to cover the repair bill on Dave’s 4-wheeler, which was incurred while it was in use on
Roscoe Road. The motion was seconded by Greg and carried by unanimous vote
CEMETERY
Ginny shared information
from Troy on cemetery lot survivorship claims. There are currently four lots under consideration for transfer of ownership
by right of survivorship. Troy’s advice was to transfer the one lot that has a clear right of survivorship, but hold
off on the others until a legal opinion with documentation is received from the applicant’s attorney.
The current system
of maintaining cemetery records was reviewed. It was determined that the records should be computerized using Excel so that
it is easier to sort them and access specific records.
Greg made a motion
to approve the September 14, 2010 minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Mark and carried by unanimous vote.
Payroll and claims
were approved and paid and correspondence was reviewed.
The meeting adjourned
by general consent at 7:30 p.m.
