July 27, 2010 Regular Meeting
The Crow Wing Township Board of Supervisors held its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
at the Crow Wing Town Hall. Present were Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisor Dave
Schultz, Clerk Virginia Rogers, Treasurer Susan Goodew and those on the attached public roster.
Sarah Beierman submitted 8 pair of gopher feet for bounty.
Park
Ed Fox was not present about the proposed football field. A letter received from town attorney Troy Gilchrist
was reviewed regarding the required steps that would need to be taken before the township entered into a lease for the property.
Roads
Greg made a motion to have Dave contact Dale DeRosier regarding ditchwork on Roscoe Road. The motion was
seconded by Mark and carried by unanimous vote. A request has been received from Carl Reed to put in a second driveway on
his lot. Approval was given for the second entrance.
Park
Ed Fox arrived later in the meeting and the proposed football field was brought up for discussion again.
The need for liability insurance to be obtained by the Crow Wing Tigers before a lease could be signed was discussed, as well
as other aspects of the letter from the township attorney.
A joint resolution with the City of Brainerd regarding the former Mills property that was annexed into the
city was reviewed and signed following a motion passed at the June 22nd meeting.
The minutes of the July 13, 2010 regular meeting were reviewed. Mark made a motion to approve the minutes
as written, with a note that Ginny was to request gravel prices and Mark Platta was present at the meeting. The motion was
seconded by Greg and carried by unanimous vote.
Correspondence was reviewed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. by general consent.
