Regular Meeting November 28, 2017 6:00pm Crow Wing Town Hall
Board Members Present: Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisor
Dave Schultz, Supervisor Doug Kern, Clerk Duane Ruona.
Greg called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM and the pledge to
the flag was recited.
There were no gopher bounties.
Under unfinished business, there has been no communication
about the Engholm property. The Chad Jillson violation was discussed. Dave visited the property and there are more trailers
and vehicles being stored on the neighboring property. The trailer house in violation is being used for temporary storage
of building materials. Mr. Jillson has been invited to attend the next Planning Commission meeting on December 11, 2017 to
discuss the issues. The Tomberlin, Dillon, Neelan, and Copa violations were discussed. There have been no changes. A letter
was sent to 6876 Wels Avenue about items in the right-of-way and the accumulation of items on the property.
Dave presented
the Brainerd Fire Advisory Board meeting report. The cost to the township will go up 4% next year. The Fire Department will
be buying a new ladder truck next year.
Dave ordered the Shelter Logic storage unit from Menards for $861.00. The
new truck will be parked in it. There has been interest in the old truck. The clerk will check with auction places to see
if the truck can be sold locally. Dave called Dan Derosier about 18 yards of Class 5 that were picked up and have not been
billed yet.
Under communications, an email was received from Crow Wing County about the upcoming township election.
The process will be reviewed at the next meeting. Crow Wing County Land Services is looking for comments on their proposed
2018 AIS Prevention Plan.
Payroll was reviewed.
Doug had a deed for eight cemetery lots for Greg to sign.
Dave
made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected from November 14, 2017. Doug seconded, motion passed.
The development
contract for Oak Ridge South Second Addition was signed. Dave made a motion to have the development agreement recorded at
the courthouse. Greg seconded, motion passed.
