Regular Meeting February 28, 2017; 6:00pm Crow Wing Town Hall
Board Members Present: Chairman Mark Platta, Supervisor Greg Smith, Treasurer Sue Kern, Clerk Duane Ruona
Mark called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm and the pledge to the flag was recited.
There were no gopher bounties.
Payroll and claims were reviewed and approved.
A backup plan for Oak Land Cemetery was discussed. Currently, Mark is the only person handling requests for cemetery
plots and marking areas for grave diggers. Mark explained the process to the Clerk so there is a backup person to handle
requests when Mark is unavailable.
The Crow Wing Estates property transfer was discussed. Mark has signed the required paperwork and the closing is set
for Friday, March 3, 2017. The check will be mailed to the Township Treasurer.
The ongoing violations were discussed. There has been no contact or action taken on any of the existing violations.
A phone call from Wesley Juaire was received. He is recovering from surgery and will complete the cleanup when he is physically
able.
Correspondence regarding the 24th Annual Township and City Forum was reviewed.
Greg made a motion to cancel the March 7, 2017 Town Board meeting. Mark seconded, motion passed. A notice of the meeting
cancellation will be posted.
The board examined the minutes from February 14, 2017. There was a question about a Chair Person and Vice-chair Person
for 2017 being elected to the Planning Commission. The word new should be deleted. Greg made a motion to accept the minutes
as amended. Mark seconded. Motion passed.
