BIG WOOD TIMBER
The board reviewed
the minutes of the December 14th public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit for Big Wood Timber Frames, Inc. Greg
noted that no one come Big Wood was present at the hearing, but that several neighbors had attended. The hearing was recessed,
due to a need for more information, as noted in those minutes. It will be reconvened on site on January 6th. A check for the first invoice sent to Big Wood has been received. It was due on December
11th and was paid the following week. The invoice that was due by December 22nd has not been paid. No
motions were made.
Greg made a motion
to accept the County Auditor’s office to coordinate the Automark machine and ballots for the township election in March
at no charge. The motion was seconded by Dave and carried with Mark opposed. We will hopefully have more information on the
process and costs next year.
Dave shared information
on road signs. He will be taking an inventory of signs in the township so that we can keep an updated record. The truck is
in need of new tires. Approval was given for new tires and an alignment if needed. Dave was asked to bring the truck to Reichert
for repairs to the engine at a cost of up to $1000, prior to purchasing tires for it. Greg made a motion to send Dave to the
LTAP seminar in Bemidji on February 23rd. The motion was seconded by Mark and carried by unanimous vote.
