                                                        December 7, 2010  Regular Meeting

The Crow Wing Township Board of Supervisors held its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Crow Wing Town Hall. Present were Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisor Dave Schultz, Clerk Virginia Rogers, Treasurer Susan Goodew and those on the attached roster.

Greg called the meeting to order.

No gopher feet were presented bounty.

ROADS

Two residents from Forest Heights Drive were present to express concern about the icy conditions on township roads. They stated that they believe the plow truck has shoes on the blade or for some reason is just skimming over the snow pack and not accomplishing anything. They suggested requesting that the grader be used to cut the ice off the road. It was determined that the grader should be sent out at the end of the week after we may have gotten some more snow.

Dave gave the road report. It was decided that the new street signs can wait until spring to go up since the ground is beginning to freeze.

PLANNING AND ZONING

Greg shared information from MPCA. It appears that they do not have enough funding to get involved in the smoke issue with Big Wood Timber and unless there are ground contaminants, batteries or tires, they will not get involved. They did not say what their involvement would be when those items are present. A possible cleanup event was discussed. It will be placed on the agenda for the annual meeting for discussion.

Susie gave the treasurers report. There was discussion about a few issues and claims were approved and paid.

Dave made a motion to approve the November 23, 2010 minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Greg and carried by unanimous vote.

The meeting adjourned by general consent at 8:10 p.m.
