14, 2010 Regular Meeting
Wing Township Board of Supervisors held its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Crow Wing Town
Hall. Present were Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisors Mark Platta and Dave Schultz,
Clerk Virginia Rogers, Treasurer Susan Goodew and those on the attached public roster.
No gopher bounties were claimed.
Commission has requested direction on what to do about concerns with the Big Wood Timber property. It appears that many of
the trees that were planted have not survived and there are vehicles and/or trailers parked in the setback area along Greenwood
Street. A letter will be sent to Big Wood letting them know about that we have noticed these problems and that they should
be corrected immediately.
Drotts was present from the MN DNR. He is the Area Wildlife Manager and shared an idea about procuring 120 acres of Potlatch
property adjacent to the Ray Cook Wildlife Management Area. He asked for the Town Board's approval of purchasing this property,
which would allow for foot travel around the edge of the lake in the reserve. Mark made a motion to express approval of the
plan. The motion was seconded by Greg and carried by unanimous vote.
mentioned two issues with in-home day care businesses in the township. One is on Buffalo Creek Road where there are cars being
parked in the road right of way on a daily basis. The other has an off-premise sign on Brian's Way where it meets Business
371. Mark will get the addresses for these properties and information on what the ordinance says about off-premise signs for
the next meeting.

Water is running from a driveway onto Erin Road and leaving sand on the cul de sac. Dave's 4-wheeler is in the shop for repair.
It broke down while he was using it on a township road. He asked that if he continues to use it for township work that the
township either pay for its use or for the repairs.
of the August 31, 2010 regular meeting were reviewed. It was noted that Carl Boeder promised to come back to mow the wet areas
on the roadways as soon as conditions allow. Greg made a motion to approve the minutes as written, with that addition. The
motion was seconded by Dave and carried by unanimous vote.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m. by general consent.
