Reconvened Regular Meeting
August 18, 2009
The Crow Wing Township
Board of Supervisors reconvened its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday August 18, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Crow Wing Town
Hall. Present were Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisors Mark Platta and Dave Schultz
and Clerk Virginia Rogers. Also present was Brad Arnold.
Greg called the
meeting to order and the pledge to the flag was recited.
Brad spoke on behalf
of the Planning Commission, asking the board to decide whether or not the supervisor serving on the Planning Commission should
be a voting member. Ginny was asked to find out what the state statute says about Planning Commissions. The value of having
a supervisor at Planning Commission meetings was discussed. For now, we will continue as in the past.
Brad also summarized
a second phone call that he had received from Rod Osterloh on behalf of Potlatch Corp. They are asking the township help them
to subdivide and sell their land in any way that we can.
The five-year road
plan was discussed. The following road projects were considered as possibilities: 50th Avenue (North), paving the
remainder of the road, 80th Avenue, paving the remainder of the road, completion of Wetherbee Road stabilization.
Dave was asked to get a bid from Dale for work on the wet area of 80th Avenue and begin the process for Wetherbee
Road wetland permitting. Other road items were considered. No motions were made.
