The Crow Wing Township Board of Supervisors reconvened its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday August 18, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Crow Wing Town Hall.  Present were Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisors Mark Platta and Dave Schultz and Clerk Virginia Rogers. Also present was Brad Arnold.

Greg called the meeting to order and the pledge to the flag was recited.

Brad spoke on behalf of the Planning Commission, asking the board to decide whether or not the supervisor serving on the Planning Commission should be a voting member. Ginny was asked to find out what the state statute says about Planning Commissions. The value of having a supervisor at Planning Commission meetings was discussed. For now, we will continue as in the past.

Brad also summarized a second phone call that he had received from Rod Osterloh on behalf of Potlatch Corp. They are asking the township help them to subdivide and sell their land in any way that we can.

The five-year road plan was discussed. The following road projects were considered as possibilities: 50th Avenue (North), paving the remainder of the road, 80th Avenue, paving the remainder of the road, completion of Wetherbee Road stabilization. Dave was asked to get a bid from Dale for work on the wet area of 80th Avenue and begin the process for Wetherbee Road wetland permitting. Other road items were considered. No motions were made.

The meeting adjourned by general consent at 9:37 p.m.
