Regular Meeting July 22, 2014

Crow Wing Town Hall 6:00 p.m.

Board Members Present: Chairman Greg Smith, Supervisors Mark Platta and Dave Schultz, Clerk Virginia Rogers and Deputy Clerk Susan Amick.

Greg called the meeting to order and the pledge to the flag was recited.

Justin Barnhart was present on behalf of Lakes Area BMX to give an update on what the club has been doing. This has been their biggest year so far. They have bid for a national event and are waiting to hear back. He expressed a need for additional parking space and asked the board if it would be possible to clear more land for that purpose. Discussion followed concerning where the best area to clear would be. The board agreed that clearing for parking is not a problem, as long any larger trees in good condition are kept. Dave will take a look at the area with Justin at a time that works for both of them.

Jerry Eischens was present from the Crow Wing Estates Homeowners Association. He had some information from the state about the property at the intersection of Wetherbee Road and Wild Rice Road. The town board will look into acquiring the extra property left over from the road construction and find out if it could be donated or if the association could purchase it. The property could then be used for the safe house and for a well for the association.

No one was present from Anthony’s with the title for the vehicles that are to remain on the property. There has been no word from Reid’s Backhoe. Greg will call Reid’s and Rob Anthony to find out what their intentions are.

Dave made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 8th regular meeting as written. The motion was seconded by Mark and passed unanimously.

The meeting adjourned by general consent at 8:30 p.m.
