Reconvened Regular Meeting
June 9, 2009
TheCrow Wing Township Board of Supervisors reconvened its regular monthly
meetingon Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Crow Wing Town Hall. Present were Chair Greg Smith, Supervisor Dave Schultz
and Clerk Virginia Rogers. Also present were James and JoAnne Munsch and Duane and Karen Rouna.
Greg called the meeting to order and the pledge to the flag was recited.
The petition from Plat of Nature Path had received with signatures representing
all eleven properties affected. The total projected cost of the project was discussed. It was determined that the project
will cost approximately$38,000-$40,000. Greg made a motion to proceed with the project with an amount not to exceed $39,600
being assessed to the benefiting property owners. The motion was seconded by Dave and carried by unanimous vote. Ginny will
have the waivers in the mail within 2 days and the contractor can be notified as soon as all are returned with signatures.
Dave made a motion to accept the bid from Tri-City Paving in the amount of $36,180. The motion was seconded by Greg and carried
by unanimous vote. The other quote received was from Anderson Brothers Construction Company in the amount of $39,299.24.
Jim and JoAnne Munsch were present, along with Tom Mertens who is building
a poles hed for them that has been found to be non-conforming, as it does not meet one of the required setbacks from the property
line. Greg and Dave both indicated that if a variance is applied for and recommended for approval by the Planning Commission,
they would anticipate that it would be approved at the Town Board level.
Various road issues were discussed. No motions were made.
Greg made a motion to have a 12 x 24’ concrete pad put in place for
the recycling roll off in an amount not to exceed $1300. The motion was seconded by Dave and carried by unanimous vote. Greg
made a motion to repair the light at the park that was vandalized in an amount not to exceed $250. The motion was seconded
by Dave and carried by unanimous vote.
The meeting adjourned by general consent at 8:37 p.m.
